Many vampires prefer to roam the world on their own or with a single partner. These vampires are known as nomads.
They are known as Jack-Vampires.
Seriously, I can't imagine anything more torturous than hanging out with the same dull-as-hell characters for eternity. It makes much more sense to just go wander around without a solid group.
